Molly Heidemann
Molly Heidemann has supported the international student and scholar population at Miami University since 2008. As director, she provides leadership and strategic planning for the ISSS unit, advises visiting scholars, collaborates with campus partners on efforts to support our international students, and oversees Miami’s compliance with the Department of Homeland Security. Molly has traveled throughout China while presenting pre-departure orientation programs for incoming Chinese students. She has also had the opportunity to travel to Japan, Iraq, Turkey, Ecuador, and Germany. Originally from Sidney, Ohio, she earned her B.S. in Psychology from Xavier University in Cincinnati and went on to obtain her M.A. in Social Science from the University of Chicago, where she focused on Arabic students' attitudes toward counseling. Molly loves spending time with her husband, daughter, and beagle mix; hiking; going for walks at the park; and drinking Chinese oolong tea.
