Miami Regionals' Middletown Campus Announces 2018 Athletic Hall of Fame

Miami University Regionals' Middletown campus has announced the twelfth group of inductees into its athletic Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame recognizes student athletes, coaches, teams and others who have brought success and honor to the University during the past 51 years. Induction ceremonies for the new class will take place on Saturday, Jan. 20 and will feature a dinner catered by the Montgomery Inn.

The 2018 class of inductees includes Liz Frazee-Aldridge (1999-2002) basketball; Denzil Turner(1997-2001) baseball; and LaMar Mallory (2009-2011) basketball.
"These inductees have enriched their communities and all those around them," said Cheryl Miller, Miami Middletown's Director of Athletics. "We are honored to be able to recognize them for their contributions while at Miami Middletown and beyond."

Miami Regionals Middletown's teams have won the Ohio Regional Campus Conference (ORCC) All-Sports Award 16 times, including 11 times consecutively (1994-2004). The ORCC is made up of 9 schools, and includes the regional campuses of Ohio State, Ohio University, University of Akron and Miami. Miami Middletown fields teams in baseball, women's softball, men's and women's basketball, golf, men's and women's tennis and volleyball.

The induction ceremony on Jan. 20 will begin with hors d'oeuvres at 5 p.m. followed by dinner at 6 p.m. and the induction ceremony at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend this event, which will be held in Miami Middletown's Campus Community Center.

The evening will begin with a social hour at 5 p.m. followed by a dinner catered by Montgomery Inn at 6 p.m., with the official ceremony at 7 p.m. The cost to attend the event is $35. The proceeds from this event fund Middletown Athletic Programs and have established the Greg Lansaw Scholarship Fund. Lansaw, who lost his battle with cancer, was the ThunderHawk golf coach from 2001-2004.
