Regionals Students Plan Community BookFest for Children

Cartoon of a child reading a book. Two student led organizations at Miami University Regionals' Middletown Campus, Students Engaging in Real Volunteer Efforts (SERVE) and Circle K, invite the community to attend the 3rd Annual BookFest on Saturday, April 14 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in Johnston Hall's Hawk Haven. This event is free and open to the public.

In order to promote literacy in our community, this event gives away books to local school children and their families. Many campus offices have partnered with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library (Women Living United - Middletown Community Foundation) and MidPointe Children's Librarians to expand the event to include several other literacy-related activities such as a reading corner, the MidPointe bookmobile, games, activities, and crafts. Refreshments will also be provided free of charge.

ALSO NEW THIS YEAR: Join in the book exchange - please bring a new or gently used children and youth books that you no longer need or use to share with others.
