S.T.E.A.M. Studio Summer Camp Announced at Miami University Regionals

STEAM STUDIO - science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Dream it, make it, create it, build it. Miami Regionals’ E-Campus will be offering 6 one-week hands-on S.T.E.A.M. Studio summer camps for 5th - 8th grade students from June 27 - July 26 on the Hamilton and Middletown campuses. Each week of camp is centered around a common theme to provide unique hands-on opportunities to imagine, design and bring ideas to life while experiencing traditional and not-so-traditional summer camp activities.

Lights, Camera, Magic! will meet June 17 - June 21 from 9am - 4pm on the Middletown campus. How did they do that? Did you ever wonder how to make something fly or suspend in mid-air? Explore the basics used by film directors and photographers to create special effects using green screen technology while creating your own short-film or print art! End the week screening your creations at the first-ever STEAM Studio  “Film Fest!” (Max 45 Participants) $225

Amusement Accelerator will meet June 24 - June 28 from 9am - 4pm on the Middletown campus. Wonder what it takes to develop an amusement park? Try your hand at satisfying the thrill seeker in us all using simple machines to design and develop unique theme park attractions and carnival games. On the last day, we will set up our own amusement park for the exhibition! (Max 45 Participants) $225

Ultimate Gamer will meet July 1 - July 5 from 9am - 4pm on the Middletown campus (no camp on July 4) and July 8 - July 12 on the Hamilton campus. Do you have what it takes to create the next big gaming trend? Conceptualize unique video games and experiences using coding, graphics, and animation. On the last day, we will showcase our “Gaming Expo”, where we demonstrate the games in their true beta form! (Max 45 Participants) $180 Middletown campus, $225 Hamilton campus.

Robot Academy will meet July 15 - July 19 from 9am - 4pm on the Hamilton campus. Are these the droids you have been looking for? Explore what makes a robot and experience real artificial intelligence interactions. Investigate circuits, try your hand at coding, program LEGO creations, and construct bots to make our lives easier, or at least more amusing! Be ready to show off your robot’s tricks and skills at the end of the week during the “Robot Rodeo!” (Max 45 Participants) $225

Environmental Superhero, will meet July 22 - July 26 from 9am - 4pm on the Hamilton campus. What if it were up to you to save the planet? Harness the science of solar energy for cooking and powering simple machines. Become an environmental superhero and design ways to sustain the environment and wildlife while having fun with nature! On the last day, showcase your science skills and artistic side at our very own recycled sculpture and creation exhibit. (Max 45 Participants) $225
