Qualifying Conditions

Student Disability Services provides academic accommodations for students with documented disabilities. Listed below are examples of conditions that would qualify a student for services. This is not a comprehensive list. 

• Chronic health conditions (e.g. cancer, diabetes, Crohn's Disease, epilepsy)
• ADD/ADHD
• Mental health conditions (e.g. anxiety, depression, bipolar, PTSD)
• Blind/low vision
• D/deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Mobility conditions (e.g. Cerebral Palsy, paraplegia, quadriplegia)
• Learning disabilities (e.g. dyscalculia, dyslexia)
• Temporary Injuries/Illnesses (e.g. broken arm/leg, concussion, surgery recovery)

Students are welcome to speak with an SDS coordinator about their specific situation and if they would qualify for services.

Temporary Injuries/Accommodations

Students with temporary injuries, such as a broken leg/arm, concussion, or surgery recovery can register with and receive accommodations through Disability Services on a temporary basis. 

Pregnancy

Pregnancy, in and of itself, is NOT a qualifying condition that would receive accommodations from Student Disability Services.  Contact the Regional Title IX Office for additional information.
