Samantha Bowyer, Jennifer Conti, and Camille Weyer all serve as speech-language pathologists in the MSD Lawrence Township School District in the Indianapolis metropolitan area. In mid- November 2017, we were lucky to have all three alumnae return to campus to talk to our students about the use of alternative and augmentative communication in the school setting. All three women have been busy since the completion of their Master’s program in 2014. Samantha works at an elementary school in the district and currently serves as the lead speech-language pathologist for the district. She also works PRN in two pediatric private practices. She is a board member for the Indianapolis chapter of the Miami University Alumni Association. Jennifer works at a middle school in the district serving 7th and 8th graders with a range of needs from AAC to executive functioning/social skills. She and Camille lead an AAC committee focused on improving AAC assessment protocols for those with severe communication needs. Jennifer also serves as the tennis coach for the girls and boys middle school tennis team. Camille works at an elementary school in the district and works with a large number of AAC users and students with ASD. She currently serves at the lead of the Exceptional Learners Team. See our website for additional pictures of their visit back in our Department.
