Miami University’s Office for the Advancement of Research and Scholarship (OARS) offers many exciting opportunities for undergraduates to become involved in research, either their own ideas or those of the various faculty. Below is a list of annual opportunities, but a full list can always be found at: 

Students looking for money to fund their research can apply for the Undergraduate Research Award ( Applications are typically due mid-semester.

Students looks for funds to present their research can apply for the Undergraduate Presentation Award ( Applications are ongoing.

Perhaps the most prestigious award in this area at Miami University is the University Summer Scholars program (  Applications are typically due in late November or early December. These awards pay you to work on research full-time during the summer, under the direction of a faculty mentor.
