Department of Engineering Technology

Located on Miami University's Hamilton and Middletown campuses, our Department of Engineering Technology offers in-person and Distance Learning undergraduate degrees. Engineering Technology graduates are in high demand with placement rates that exceed 98% within three months of graduation. Directed by a panel of industry experts, our programs remain on the cutting edge of technology.

Bachelor's Degrees

Earn a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science degree to elevate your career with one of our four programs, three are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. All of our programs offer solid foundation courses found in traditional Engineering Technology degrees, including a one-year senior design capstone and opportunities for co-ops and internships.

Associate Degrees

Flexible course scheduling allows many of our students to work full time while earning one of our associate degrees. Both the Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology associate degrees are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.

Microcredentials

Select from one of our Microcredentials ranging from Agile-Certified Professional to Manufacturing Fundamentals. You can earn a digital credential in just nine credit hours, often entirely online.

Funding Your STEM Journey

STEM Scholars provides scholarships of up to $5,000 a year and creates a customized pathway experience for Miami University to advance from an associate to a bachelor’s degree and on to a master’s degree.

Senior Design Day

A day-long showcase of cool engineering projects, and a celebration of senior engineering students’ accomplishments.

Distance Learning

Our Bachelor Completion program is delivered to students in 10 partner colleges in Ohio through Go Distance.
