Find a Tutor

There are several ways to meet with a tutor. Whether you are an online student and never come to campus, or a Hamilton or Middletown student, there could be a tutor for you. Below, please find the type of tutoring that best fits your schedule and your needs.

Face-to-Face Tutoring

If you would like to have a face-to-face appointment with one of our tutors, choose one of the following three ways to set up your appointment:

  • COME IN person to the Tutoring & Learning Center (TLC) on Hamilton Campus in Rentschler Hall, Room 102 or on the Middletown Campus in Johnston Hall, Room 1.

  • NEW online process: Go to miamioh.campus.eab.com and log in using your Miami Unique ID and password. From there you will automatically be sent to your SSC Campus home page to make a tutoring appointment. E-Tutoring

What is E-Tutoring? E-Tutoring is asynchronous tutoring appointment that takes place over Google Hangouts. The tutor is on campus and you, the tutee is at home, in a coffee shop, or wherever it is convenient for you. You will need to have a web cam and speakers, as part of your computer for the appointment. If you would like to have an E-Tutoring appointment with one of our tutors through Google Hangouts, please submit a request via the

E-Tutoring Appointment Request Form.

Or you can call the Miami Hamilton Tutoring and Learning Center at 513-785-3139.

Online Writing Tutoring

Do you need help with a paper assigned for a Miami University Regionals class and are unable to schedule a face-to-face tutoring session through one of the learning assistance offices? You may want to submit your COMPLETED ROUGH DRAFT to be reviewed by an online writing tutor.

Complete the Online Writing Tutoring Form and follow the instructions. If the paper meets the criteria for online writing tutoring, you will receive your paper back within two (2) business days with tutor comments. (If not, you will receive an email referring you to our regular writing tutor face-to-face service at our Middletown or Hamilton Tutoring & Learning Centers.) We are excited to offer this new service, and look forward to helping you strengthen your writing.
