Career Services and Professional Development is focused on providing career education, internships, and entry-level employment opportunities for all Miami Regional students. Our appointments are open to current students and alumni who have graduated from Miami within the last 12 months. For those who are further along in their career and searching for employment or contemplating a career change, the Alumni Association offers a Career Education and Development Program . Available Career Services

  • Your resume is a primary tool in your job search. If you have graduated within the last 12 months, you can stop by our office to learn how to effectively present your qualifications and skills.
  • Mock Interviews are invaluable to your interviewing success. Practice your interview skills with Optimal Resume. Also see our Sample Interview questions to help prepare for an upcoming interview.
  • In collaboration with MURALS, we have a variety of workshops available for you to attend. Workshops can help you recognize and more clearly verbalize your skills, to become more marketable. Similarly, we offer Information sessions which are a fantastic opportunity to network with employers.
  • Join the Miami University Alumni LinkedIn page. LinkedIn is the leading professional network on the Web. Your LinkedIn profile is an important supplement to your resume. Having a LinkedIn account and a complete LinkedIn profile allows you to connect with classmates, alumni, faculty/staff, and industry professionals for networking purposes, and to find new opportunities for internships and full-time positions.

  • No one job-search resource captures all the jobs or internships that are available to you;
  • Employers in different industries post their jobs in different places, sometimes on their own websites and sometimes on sites that are specific to a major or field of study;and
  • Many jobs are never posted and are only available through networking, job shadowing and informational interview
