"Andrew Cayton was a legendary faculty member here in our department for almost 25 years," Steven Conn, Professor of History, said. After Cayton's sudden death, the department set up this memorial fund, which is designed to fund student research projects and student research trips to allow our students to do the cool things that they want to do. This fund commemorates Dr. Cayton’s profound impact as an instructor, adviser and mentor of generations of students in the history department and at Miami University. The fund supports history students' research, internships and other opportunities to expand their education and to prepare them for a wide range of careers.
