The Marcum Hotel & Conference Center follows the cleaning and sanitation guidelines provided by the CDC, Ohio Department of Health and the Ohio Hotel & Lodging Association to keep our guests and staff safe.

  • All staff and guests are required to wear masks and maintain social distance when moving throughout the building.
  • All staff undergo daily health assessment prior to starting work and a weekly rapid COVID-19 test.
  • Housekeeping staff have been trained to properly clean and disinfect all areas of the hotel.
  • All disinfectant products are hospital-grade and approved by the Environmental Protection Agency for use against emerging pathogens.
    • Each hotel room, meeting room and all public spaces are disinfected using Vital Oxide during routine cleaning. More information can be found at https://vitaloxide.com/
    • Disinfecting wipes will be placed in each hotel room and for guests’ personal use.
    • Hand sanitizer is located at key points throughout the building for guest and staff use.
  • Linens and towels are washed and sanitized through a commercial laundry service following all guidelines.
  • High-touch areas in public spaces are disinfected frequently and include lobby tables, furniture, counter tops, elevator buttons, water fountains, entry and exit doors, stair railings, door handles, and restrooms.
  • Front desk attendants disinfect all pens, hotel key cards, and credit card devices after each use.
  • In accordance with the social distancing requirements of COVID-19 safety procedures, continental breakfast in the lobby has been discontinued. Each guest will receive a coupon for a free meal at one of our Dining Commons locations. Stay Undisturbed

To ensure comfort for guests, housekeeping service for multi-night stays will not be provided daily unless requested. Guests may request service at the front desk and the room will be serviced between 9 am and 3 pm so long as the guest is not in the room. Additional amenities such as linens and toiletries are available upon request, delivered in protective packaging, and placed at the guest room door.
