Purpose and Description
The purpose of this FLC is to examine the impact of incorporating mediated peer review platforms such as Eli Review and Kritik in courses at Miami. This includes using and testing these platforms in a variety of course settings and disciplines, including writing intensive courses, Miami Plan courses, and large enrollment courses.
Participants in the FLC will meet regularly to discuss research on peer review platforms and discuss best practices to facilitate effective peer response in their appropriate course setting while also using these tools in their courses.
Examining the impact of these tools will include distributing mid-semester and end-of-semester student and instructor surveys.
Finally, participants will design and implement an assessment and evaluation project of these platforms to be conducted in Spring 2024.
Participants of this FLC will be able to use Eli Review and/or Kritik for no cost to them or their students for the 2023-2024 academic year.
