Graduate students ignite curiosity at RedHawk Talks event

On April 10, the Shriver Center buzzed with 12 graduate students' innovative ideas and passionate research during the RedHawk Talks event. Inspired by the TED Talks format, the event was the culmination of a five-part workshop series designed to hone the students' abilities to present their work in an engaging and succinct manner. The audience was treated to a series of concise yet compelling presentations.

This year's selected cohort included four standout scholars from the College of Education, Health, and Society: Abubakar Bala and Shawnieka Pope, both of Educational Leadership; Zachary Marsh of Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health; and Evan Saltz of School Psychology. Their participation highlights the diverse academic disciplines represented in the RedHawk Talks, underscoring the event's commitment to fostering interdisciplinary communication and public engagement. The event, open to the public, has become a notable platform for graduate students to share their research, passions, and ideas outside the confines of the academic community.
