Application Procedures

Applicants who have completed their bachelor's degree need to complete the Graduate School online application, and pay the $50 application fee.  Applicants will need the following to complete their application:

  • 4-year baccalaureate degree (non-business) from an accredited institution
  • Unofficial college transcript – a 3.25 grade point average is recommended
  • Resume
  • One letter of recommendation is required, however 2 are recommended.  At least one letter must be from someone evaluating your academic performance.
  • Personal statement about your interest in the program

Students will need a set of prerequisites to enter the program. Students lacking these prerequisites, however, can still apply and be admitted into the program based on the strength of their application.  Miami will offer all of the prerequisite courses online in the summer prior to entry. Students must earn at least a C in all prerequisite courses to continue in the program.

Standardized test scores are optional for all applicants, but can be reported and may be requested to be provided.

3+1 Combined Degree Program

Miami students wishing to complete both a bachelor's and master's degree in 4 years must also complete the Graduate School online application, and pay the $50 application fee, but be sure to check "combined program."  Combined program applicants will need the following to complete their application:

  • Copy of your DAR
  • Resume
  • Personal statement.
This option is only for Miami students who will complete both degrees in 4 years. Students planning on adding an additional year to their time at Miami should apply as a traditional applicant.

The program costs $995/credit hour or $29,850 for the entire 30-credit hour program. This cost includes all university fees except for healthcare.  The 2020-21 student health plan costs $1,636.

International Students

The MSBA programqualifies as an Optional Practical Training Extension for STEM Students (STEM OPT) designated program, allowing international students to extend their training in the United States by 24 months after graduation.
