It was thrilling and inspiring getting to interview Dr. Douglas Tallamy. He is a premier conservation biologist, ecologist, and entomologist, so having him share his vast knowledge was amazing. He has not only studied how we can restore biodiversity throughout North American ecosystems using native plants, but he is also contributing to it with his actions. He has taken his own property and transformed it from a hay field back into a native deciduous forest. I think it is so important for conservation scientists to speak with both their research and their actions and Dr. Tallamy is a prime example of someone who does just that.
