Brady (he/him) is a first year Masters student in English. He enjoys helping students with application writing (Linkedin, resumes, CVs, grad applications). Brady has a background in economics, business/technical writing, and rhetoric. He is a member of the LGBTQ+ community at Miami and can be found hiking, at EDM events, or reading a new novel.
Emily is a third-year PhD student in the English Literature program. She primarily studies the long nineteenth-century, focusing on gender, materiality, and public/private spaces.
Heather is a third-year PhD student in the Sociology/Gerontology program. She has a diverse educational/professional background (BA - Literature; Masters - Gerontology; and a Juris Doctorate). This background has enabled her to write comfortably in a variety of styles for diverse audiences. Outside of life at the university, she can be found enjoying the parks and trails around Oxford with her family and mini golden doodle.
Lena (she/her) is a first year Speech Pathology and Audiology major. She is studying the science of communication, hearing, language, and speech. In school, she is also currently working with clients who need assistance with these. She loves running, trying new foods, and exploring Oxford.
Nan (she/her) is a first-year MFA Creative Writing student with a focus in creative nonfiction. She graduated from Miami with majors in English literature and creative writing. In her free time, she enjoys distance running, playing guitar, and meeting new people.
Sean (he/him) is a first-year PhD student in the English program at Miami Universiy, specializing in Composition and Rhetoric. He has extensive experience consulting with writers from a large range of disciplines and at various places in their educational journey, from CCP students to doctoral candidates. He enjoys reading, both fiction and non-fiction, and is always down for a game of table tennis!
Abi (she/her) is a sophomore majoring in Political Science and Psychology with a minor in Spanish. After graduation, she plans on attending law school. She loves a good book, spending time with friends and family, and partaking in community service projects!
Alyssa is a freshman Human Capital Management and Leadership and Political Science double major with a minor in International Business. After graduation, Alyssa plans to go into HR or law. On campus, she is also involved with Phi Chi Theta, a professor business fraternity, the Global Business Brigades, and a social sorority. A fun fact about Alyssa is that she prefers editing than writing!
Anna is a sophomore Professional Writing major with minors in Creative Writing and Marketing. She loves writing across all genres, but especially enjoys poetry and magical realism. Outside of writing, Anna participates in theater on campus and is a student assistant in the English Department.
Brooke is a freshman Accountacy and Business Analytics double major. In her free time she enjoys playing tennis, reading, spartan races, and thrifting. Her favorite genre to read is dystopian, and her favorite genre to write is fantasy. She is also a frequent reader of the Wall Street Journal and enjoys all forms of business writing.
Brooklynn (she/they) is a junior majoring in Creative Writing as well as Media and Communication. Brook is a member of the Worldbuilders Association, and an aspiring author of fantasy and science fiction. After school hours, she loves reading fiction, playing cozy farming simulators, and watching murder mysteries.
Caitlin is a freshman with a major in Creative Writing and a minor in English Literature. Outside of class, she loves to read and write anything within the fantasy genre. Caitlin is also Business Manager of Happy Captive Magazine and a member of Alpha Omicron Pi. Once she graduates, Caitlin hopes to go into publishing and eventually publish her own novel.
Cay (they/them) is a sophomore with a Creative Writing major and a Philosophy and Law minor. Cay is a proud member of Miami's Jewish and LGBTQ+ communities. After graduation, they hope to attend law school. In their free time, Cay likes to write fiction stories and read mystery and fantasy.
Charlotte (she/her) is a third-year English literature and Philosophy student with a French minor. Outside of class, she is the treasurer for the English Honors Society, Sigma Tau Delta, and is a Scholar Leader. In her free time, Charlotte likes to read essays, bake macarons, and hike new trails.
Eliza is a sophomore Integrated Social Studies Education major with a minor in History. She enjoys reading primarily realistic fiction and mystery novels. After she graduates, Eliza hopes to become a high school history teacher.
Felix (he/him they/them) is a third-year in Data Analytics with a concentration in Bioinformatics, as well as a minor in computer science. He is a member of Botanical Society club, Visual Arts club, and Rock Climbing club. Outside of school (and his clubs) Felix enjoys spending his free time reading novels, manga, and manhwas.
Hannah is a freshman Business Analytics major with a minor in sports statistics. Outside of class, she enjoys reading dystopian fiction and journaling.
Ian (he/she) is a freshman English Literature major with a minor in Linguistics. Outside of class, he enjoys drawing, painting, and engaging in fandom culture. He is also a passionate writer and enjoys writing realistic fiction.
Isaiah (They/Them) is a Theatre major with minors in Dance and English Literature. Outside of classes they are involved in the Walking Theatre Project as well as New Wave Theatre Company. They're a huge fan of playwriting and magical realism.
J is a junior pursuing a political science major with a classics minor from southwest Ohio. She enjoys writing short stories and reading historical non-fiction. Once she graduates, J hopes to continue her education in law school.
Jack is a freshman Games + Simulations and Creative Writing major with a focus on future work as a Narrative Designer. In his spare time he frequents the League of Geeks clubs and enjoys writing fantasy stories.
Kelsie is a junior Speech Pathology & Audiology major with a Spanish minor. She is an active member of the Miami community, belonging to NSSLHA, Striders Running Club, and Alpha Delta Pi sorority. In her free time, she loves to run, read, and cook.
Kerigan (she/her) is a pre-law third-year double-majoring in Professional Writing and History with a minor in American Studies. She is in the HASS Scholars Program, participates in Cru, and writes for The Miami Student. She loves reading and writing about history, especially American and ancient history. Once she graduates, Kerigan hopes to attend law school and write for a legal journal.
Lily M. (she/they) is a junior majoring in Creative Writing with a co-major in Film Studies. She has knowledge of screenwriting formatting. She loves science fiction, horror, poetry, and drama films. She is the vice president of Spectrum, the largest and oldest LGBTQ+ organization on campus.
Lily S. (she/her) is a freshman Professional Writing major with a Spanish minor. She loves horror movies, reading, thrifting, and is a part of Inklings and Sigma Tau Delta.
Margaux is a freshman Biology major with a Pre-Health co-major and a minor in Business. Once she graduates, Margaux hopes to attend optometry school. She enjoys reading and writing realistic fiction and plays tennis in her free time.
Marissa (she/they) is a junior Emerging Technology in Business and Design major with minors in Computer Science and Rhetoric/Writing. She is the layout manager for Miami’s Happy Captive Magazine, and she loves to color and get sweet treats with friends in her free time! Marissa hopes to go into product management or marketing in her future, and would love to read over papers related to these subjects!
Nick (he/him) is a junior majoring in Computer Science and Games & Simulation. Nick loves to read fiction and experiment with creative writing. Nick’s interests include video editing, playing/making games, and swimming. Nick is a leadership chair for the Miami Game Design Club. Post graduation, he hopes to work in web/game development.
Paige is a sophomore double-majoring in Professional Writing and Integrated English Education. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, writing, and working out, and is actively a member of the blog team for UP Magazine--the university's student-run fashion magazine. After she graduates she plans to teach high school English.
Sophia is a junior majoring in History and Chinese with a minor in English Literature. Post-college, she plans to pursue a MA and PhD in History or immediately begin work in lobbying. Outside of this, she enjoys reading the news to keep current with politics.
Jenna (she/her) is a 3rd year but senior undergrad for Secondary Social Studies Education. She is a member as well as on the exec board for Gamma Phi Beta. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, listening to music, going on drives, or cooking/baking.
Meghan (she/her) is a junior studying Speech Pathology and Audiology, with minors in English Literature and Child Studies & Youth Development. She is also involved in NSSLHA, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and is an undergraduate assistant. She enjoys taking walks on the trail and spending time with friends!
Sidney (she/her) is a sophomore Political Science student with a minor in Social Justice. She is a member of Government Relations Network, the Honors College, and the business fraternity Pi Sigma Epislon. She enjoys walking around campus and partaking in the fitness classes at the Rec in her free time.
Hannah is a junior Communication Design major with a minor in Emerging Technology and Business Design. She leads publicity for Miami Cru, manages social media for the Line Dancing Club, and is a part of UP Magazine and Design Collective. She enjoys dancing, playing board games with friends, and spending time outside.
Rachel (she/her) is a junior Art Education major with minors in Communication Design, Spanish, and a TESOL endorsement. She is a member of Miami Cru, the Honors College, and the National Art Education Association (NAEA). She enjoys staying active and spending time with friends.
