Academic Advising

Miami advances a learner-centered advising system. We see every choice as a learning opportunity and want to assist you in steadily gaining ownership over the college experience. In addition to having a primary academic adviser, Miami students have a network of faculty and staff committed to their success. You'll be assigned an academic adviser in your department or division of major in your first semester.

Academic Counseling

Through Miami's Rinella Learning Center, academic counseling and coaching options are available. Meet with a learning specialist to evaluate your learning goals and develop a plan of action.
