Policy

There is no policy on teaching load that applies absolutely throughout the University; hence there are differences among academic divisions and among departments. Within academic divisions and departments, differences in teaching load reflect the differing commitments to research, administration, teaching, and the tenure and experience of the instructional staff, as well as the differing market conditions, accrediting standards, and academic traditions of the disciplines.
