Biography
Lexie Persinger is a coordinator in the Department of Teaching, Curriculum, and Educational Inquiry (TCE) at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She leads the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the Regional Primary Education Cohort (RPEC) program based at the university’s Hamilton campus. Lexie also directs the Miami University Teacher Academy Partnership, focused on recruiting high-quality teacher candidates through multiple pathways, including Oxford-bound students, regional-to-Oxford transfers, and cohort-based models. She serves as the primary point of contact for all program-related communication and activities. In her role, Lexie facilitates professional development aligned with TCE’s mission and vision while cultivating strong partnerships with local schools such as Urban Cohort schools, Douglass Elementary, and TEACh Cincinnati. Her work is centered on building sustainable, impactful relationships that enhance teacher preparation and educational equity. With a strong foundation in education and a dynamic career path, Lexie brings a versatile skill set in teaching, sales, and event planning. She spent seven years as a classroom teacher, designing and delivering curriculum for 3rd and 5th grades, mentoring Miami University students, and supervising a student teacher. Her background reflects a deep commitment to education, leadership, and collaborative, community-driven work.
