The most successful students take ownership of their education, and the Department of Justice and Community Studies has a significant number of resources that can help you take control of your own education.

Every student should meet with your assigned faculty member to receive information on the various degree program and the requirements of each major. Understanding what the required courses will help you graduate on time.

A college education is expensive. To help our students with this cost, the Department of the Justice and community studies offers a number of scholarships that are awarded annually.

Professional Organizations

Successful students don't wait for an exciting career to come to them, they are constantly on the lookout for every opportunity. If you want to maximize your Miami degree right out of the gate, you should maintain an awareness of local and national agencies that are looking to hire new employees. Review Professional Organizations for links to local criminal justice agencies and some national employment websites.
