Brad Egelston

Brad is our Math Specialist on the Middletown campus. He graduated from Miami University in 2000 with a BS in Education and a Mathematics concentration. In 2005, he earned his M.A.T. from Marygrove College. Brad has been teaching since 1996. He spent his undergrad years getting classroom experience teaching for Middletown City Schools' summer enrichment program. He taught math (and a tiny bit of history) in the Middletown and Northridge school districts for almost 15 years. In 2013, he transitioned to teaching and tutoring in higher education. Brad helped to build and shape Cincinnati State Middletown's peer tutoring program and taught developmental math there and at Sinclair. After a brief foray into the world of corporate data analytics at Cintas and financial aid data analytics for UC, he triumphantly returned to teaching here at Miami...and Brad said he couldn't be happier! He was a founding and long-serving member of Northridge Local Schools' District Data Analysis team as well as the District Leadership Team. He also a Virtus certified instructor for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and have taught a CCD Religion class for the last 15 years. He is a voracious reader. Brad generally goes through around 25 books per year. He is a die-hard Reds fan and attends games with his wife and 11-year-old twins whenever they're able. Brad is also an avid music collector. He owns several crates of vinyl and approximately 1,500 CDs. For Brad, there's nothing more relaxing than spending an hour or two in a record store slowly combing through the shelves looking for some elusive missing elements in his collection.
