Number of grant proposals submitted
Grant proposals submitted to external funders through the Office of Research & Innovation by Miami University faculty, staff and students, as compiled annually by OVRI, July 1 to June 30.
Number of national fellowship recipients
Number of Miami students, all campuses and all levels, who received scholarships and fellowships defined as “National Fellowships” by the Honors Program.
Number of graduate students
Total student headcount with student level of GR, measured October 15.
New interdisciplinary programs
Newly approved academic degree program, major, co-major or minor in which two or more departments contribute at least 20% or more of the core requirements.
Number of students in professional master’s programs
Total headcount, all campuses, in post-baccalaureate programs defined as Market-Driven Tuition Programs or designated as professional degrees by the Ohio Department of Higher Education, measured October 15.
Number of undergraduate course sections
Count of all course sections, all campuses, all classes, measured October 15.
Six-year graduation rates
Total graduating students divided by first-time, full-time bachelors seeking students six years earlier (example: 2013 cohort and 2019 graduation), Oxford only.
Average time to degree
The number of semesters it takes to graduate for a particular first-year cohort, Oxford only, for students who began as first-time, full-time bachelors seeking students in that cohort.
Freshman-to-sophomore retention
The percentage of first-time, full-time bachelors seeking students, Oxford only, returning for following fall, measured October 15.
% of students studying abroad / away
Number of Oxford students who studied abroad (credit or non-credit) or studied away in the year specified (regardless of their class level) compared to the total number of bachelor's graduates for the year specified.
% of full-time faculty people of color / international
Percentage of all full-time faculty classified as not Caucasian or Unknown, measured October 15.
% of students people of color / international
Percentage of all full-time students, all campuses, all levels, both full-time and part-time students, classified as not Caucasian or Unknown, measured October 15.
Total fundraising
Total private support raised by Miami University and The Miami University Foundation each fiscal year in accordance with CASE Counting Guidelines and The Miami University Campaign Plan.
Total scholarship money available from philanthropy
Total private support distributed from both endowed, externally managed and expendable funds that support scholarships held by Miami University and The Miami University Foundation.
