Bird Watching

There are over 120 species seen in the Natural Areas with more than 60 species of warblers and waterfowl pass through each year on their semi-annual journey. A visit to the Bird Viewing Station (Blird Blind) in Bachelor Preserve is especially rewarding any time of the year. The blind was created to allow people to see birds up-close and in their natural habitat. The area is shaded and has benches to allow for some great bird-watching views.
The blind is open from sunrise to sunset and is located across from the DeWitt House off of route 73 and can be seen on the trail map.
