Expect Respect seeks to create a unified Miami community where all its members treat one another with dignity and respect. Our choices, actions, behaviors, words, and attitudes matter. Together, we can create and maintain a respectful and inclusive environment where all members of the Miami community can live, learn, work, and thrive – with all of our differences.
Why Should I Care?
It can be difficult for students to feel like they can reach their full potential on an unwelcome campus. Miami’s Code of Love and Honor states that respect is the dignity, rights, and property of others and their right to hold and express disparate beliefs. Let's live up to our values and build a community of acceptance where every individual feels comfortable exploring who they are and who they will become.

There are several ways to get involved with the Expect Respect campaign. You can:
- Request an Expect Respect training for your organization or department.
- Register as an Expect Respect Champion for your student organization, department, or as an individual.
- Reach out to collaborate on an event or program.
- Show your support for the cause on social media.
