Recommendation Form Submission

Thank you for taking the time to support an applicant for the Student Orientation Undergraduate Leader (SOUL) position at Miami University by completing a 2023 SOUL Recommendation Form. Each SOUL applicant is asked to provide one recommender as a part of their SOUL application.

“SOUL” is our acronym for Student Orientation Undergraduate Leader. The SOUL team is made up of undergraduate students who are an extremely important part of the orientation process at Miami University. SOULs are informed, resourceful guides who assist new students and families throughout the orientation program. They lead small groups of students during the orientation program, and serve as ambassadors to welcome new students to Miami. Before submitting a recommendation form on behalf of a student, you may wish to review the SOUL position description.

Before submitting the recommendation form, please have the student's Miami University UniqueID (e.g. smithab) available. You will be asked to asses the SOUL candidate in the following areas:

  • attitude
