Miami University policy requires proof of vaccination of all vaccines on the Ohio K-12 vaccination schedule. You will receive detailed instructions for submitting this information on your myMiami admission checklist. To review the Ohio K-12 vaccination schedule, refer to the Student Health Service website or call the Student Health Service at 513-529-3000.

September 2018-January 2019

Miami University requires health care insurance for all full-time Oxford students. To that end, Miami University bills all full-time students for Miami-sponsored Aetna Student Health Insurance. If you do not need this coverage, you must waive this insurance via the student health website. For questions, call the Student Health Service at 513-529-3000.

September 2018-January 2019

Once we receive your confirmation deposit, you will receive information on how to schedule an orientation session where you will register for classes. You will also receive information about Transfer Student Orientation options.

Transfer students who have been out of high school for more than five years or have already completed 20 graded semester hours after graduating high school may be admitted without test scores and should connect with an academic advisor in their division for more information regarding math placement. Please complete the foreign language placement tests which can be found online on the Placement Test page on the Orientation website as soon as possible after your enrollment.

Late October 2018-January 2019 Financial aid award notifications are mailed on a rolling basis after you are admitted.
November 2018-January 2019 Register for a Transfer One-Day Orientation or January Orientation.
Early January Residential students receive their housing assignment, which includes their university housing information, arrival information, roommate information, and confirmation of their meal plan selection.

Attend a Transfer One-Day Orientation.

Submit your confirmation deposit by January 4.

Wednesday, Jan. 23 or Thursday, Jan. 24 Move-in day for transfer students who attend January Orientation.

January Orientation (for students who have not already attended a Transfer One-Day Orientation).
Sunday, Jan. 27 Move-in day (for transfer students who do not attend January Orientation).
Sunday, Jan. 27
Attend the Transfer Student Social.

First day of classes. Spring semester ends Saturday, May 11, 2019.
