Accepted Transfer Students

Congratulations on your acceptance!

While you're deciding:

  • Attend a Transfer Preview Day
Transfer Preview Days provide a great opportunity to get an "inside look" at Miami.
  • File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
File the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at fafsa.gov so you'll be considered for all need-based scholarships and financial aid awards. Use Miami's federal school code (003077).
  • Request a credit evaluation
We recommend that you send a request for a transfer credit evaluation before you confirm your acceptance to Miami. To request a credit evaluation, email transfercrediteval@MiamiOH.edu
  • Join our Facebook group
Connect with other accepted transfer students by visiting our Facebook group.
  • Confirm your enrollment to Miami
Confirm your enrollment by the date indicated in your acceptance letter. After you confirm, you'll be able to access your Miami student email account and will also have access to request university housing.

After you confirm your enrollment:

  • Select a meal plan and housing options
If you are living in university housing, you must complete the Residence Hall & Meal Plan Contract online via your Applicant Status Page after you have confirmed your enrollment. For more information about living in non-university housing, see Finding a Place Off-Campus.
  • Submit medical form
Complete your mandatory three-part medical history form via the Student Health Services Health Portal. This needs to be done before you can schedule an academic advising session. (Helpful tips)
  • Submit your final transcripts
As soon as you complete your current term of enrollment at your current institution, request that your official final college transcript with your current term grades be sent to: Miami's Office of Admission, 301 S. Campus Ave., Oxford, OH 45056.

Your acceptance is being granted on a provisional basis. You must submit an official final transcript of all college work taken prior to the start of classes at Miami University. Your final college transcript must indicate that you remain in good standing in all respects with a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. This transcript must be received in the Office of Admission by August 1, 2016. If your final transcript shows you did not meet this expectation, we reserve the right to withdraw our offer of admission.
  • Attend Orientation/Advising
Attend a Transfer One-Day Orientation before the start of classes. If you cannot attend a Transfer One-Day Orientation, you are encouraged to attend August Orientation. If you cannot attend either of these Orientation options, please contact your academic division for advising information. For more information and to register for Orientation, please visit the Office of Orientation and Transition Programs.
  • Check your Miami email for your tuition and fees bill
The Bursar's Office will send your bill electronically to this email address if you register for classes before our billing date. Transfer students who register after our billing dates will view their account by going to myMiami, My Bill and Aid tab. You may not receive an email or an eBill, but fees are due by the first day of class.
