The Division of University Advancement engages alumni, friends, students, parents, faculty, staff and community members in championing support for the university’s mission. Composed of interdependent units, University Advancement collectively cultivates a sense of loyalty among all Miamians toward their alma mater by focusing its attention on the value of the relationship between Miamians and their university.



Dir of Donor Relations

Designs and implements a comprehensive donor relations program aimed to strengthen relationships with donors at all levels of giving. The Director will provide management and oversight to donor relations activities, including the following areas of responsibility: gift acknowledgments, impact reports, customized stewardship and engagement plans, lifetime giving societies, donor recognition and campus naming, and engagement and communications plans for high priority donor segments, among other duties as assigned. The Director works closely with the Director of University Advancement Administration, the Director of Compliance and Gift Processing, the Senior Associate Vice President for University Advancement, and development staff to advance the culture of philanthropy across the university and assist University Advancement in reaching its fundraising goals. The position reports to the Senior Director of University Advancement Administration.

The Data Integrity Specialist maintains data, ensures proper use of data, supports effective divisional reporting for University Advancement and helps to maintain continuous data integrity improvements.

Director of Development Northeast U.S.

The Director of Regional Development for the Northeast United States will advance the mission of Miami University by planning, organizing, and implementing strategies to increase the level of personal engagement and financial commitment of alumni and friends. Particular emphasis will be given to securing philanthropic and volunteer support for the University and its priorities. Reporting to the Senior Director of Regional Development through the Senior Associate Vice President for University Advancement, it is preferred that the Director of Regional Development for the Northeast resides in or near a metropolitan Northeast city, with travel required in the Northeast region and periodic travel to Oxford, Ohio for meetings and other activities.

Director of Development Midwest U.S.

The Director of Regional Development for the Midwest United States will advance the mission of Miami University by planning, organizing, and implementing strategies to increase the level of personal engagement and financial commitment of alumni and friends. Associate Vice President of Development, Corporate & Foundation Relations

Reporting to the senior associate vice president for University Advancement, the associate vice president of development, corporate and foundation relations will manage the office of corporate and foundation relations. In particular, the associate vice president will focus on planning, organizing and implementing strategies to increase the level of engagement and maximize the philanthropic support of Miami’s top corporate and foundation prospects and donors. To succeed, it is critical that the associate vice president coordinate with the senior team in University Advancement, the president and other campus partners to develop and execute strategies designed to increase all measures of support from this important constituency.
