This research project evaluates the state’s experiences in the implementation of the Ohio Assisted Living Medicaid Waiver Program. We present a profile of assisted living waiver participants and review the state’s enrollment tracking process. Further, we present findings on the satisfaction of waiver participants, analyses of the program’s Medicaid costs and overall program design, issues faced in the implementation of the program based on a qualitative assessment with potential residents and family members, and an update on assisted living research and operational experiences across the U.S.
