MA in Biology

Miami University offers two unique part-time Master’s programs designed for working professionals interested in expanding their knowledge and skills in conservation biology and education:

The Advanced Inquiry Program is an online master’s degree that combines web-based Miami graduate courses with face-to-face experiential learning and field study at some of the nation’s premier zoos and botanical gardens.

In the Global Field Program, graduate students engage in online courses and, in the summer, travel to conservation hotspots in Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Americas to gain firsthand experience in conservation biology and participatory education.

Both programs can lead to a Master of Arts in Biology (MA) or a Master of Arts in Teaching in the Biological Sciences (MAT).

The GRE is not required and tuition is reduced for both programs.
