Room Scheduling Policies and Procedures

Reserving a Classroom (Oxford Campus) Using 25Live

Student organizations and Miami University staff and faculty members are able to reserve academic classroom spaces for events such as meetings, study sessions, exams, guest lectures, film viewings, etc. Classrooms are reserved using the room request software, 25Live.

Anyone who has a Miami Unique ID and password can sign in to 25Live and submit a request to reserve a classroom by creating a calendar event—this event doesn't necessarily have to appear on the public University Calendar. Step-by-step instructions on how to submit a room request are provided at Room Request Instructions.

Requests to use academic classroom space on the Oxford campus will be reviewed by staff members in the Office of the University Registrar. If you have any questions about reserving a room on the Oxford campus please contact

Groups without Miami login credientials may reserve a room by contacting Conference Services at or 513-529-4949.

Scheduling Non-Academic Classrooms (Oxford Campus)

Please note, not all spaces on the Oxford campus are schedulable through 25Live. 25Live is only used to reserve academic classroom spaces. This does not include spaces in Armstrong Student Center, Shriver Center, Hall Auditorium, the libraries, or athletic spaces (Yager Stadium, Recreational Sports Center, etc.).

For online reservation room requests in Armstrong Student Center, Marcum Hotel and Conference Center, and Shriver Center, visit

To reserve a study room in a library or Armstrong Student Center, visit the Miami University Libraries website.

Although 25Live is not the room scheduling system used to reserve non-academic spaces, 25Live can still be used to create an event on the University calendar.

25Live and the University Calendar

In addition to room scheduling, the 25Live system is also used for adding events (at all campuses) to the University calendar.

  • If desired, by scheduling a room through 25Live and following the room request instructions, your event will appear on the University calendar.
  • If your event is located in a building that is not schedulable through 25Live (Armstrong Student Center, Shriver Center, Hall Auditorium, Marcum Hotel and Conference Center, etc.), you can still use the instructions to set up a calendar event after you have reserved your room through the different room request system. Please see the notes on the room request instructions for adjustments you need to make to your 25Live entry in this situation.
