Farmer School professor ranked among best business researchers in the world

Farmer School supply chain management and operations professor Lisa Ellram has been recognized with the Research.com Business and Management in the United States Leader Award for 2023.

Ellram is ranked 115 in the world, and 66 in the US across all business and management scholars. With over 30,000 citations and 125 publications, her work on supply chain cost management, services purchasing, offshoring and outsourcing, and supply chain sustainability is impactful for not only academics but also for supply chain practice. 

The ranking is based on D-index (Discipline H-index) metric, which only includes papers and citation values for an examined discipline. The ranking includes only leading scientists with D-index of at least 30 for academic publications made in the area of Business and Management.

Ellram is a University Distinguished Professor and the Rees Distinguished Professor of Supply Chain Management in the Farmer School of Business. This year she received a Fulbright Distinguished Chair award which allows her to spend this semester abroad in Finland, where she is working on circular economy and circular supply chain management research.
