Writing Groups

What is a writing group?

Writing groups are small groups that meet regularly to write and support each other throughout the academic year. Writing groups are open to both faculty and graduate students. Members of writing groups can expect to:

  • Attend a fun kickoff event to meet group members and set meeting times.
  • Make progress and receive support and feedback on their own writing projects from group members.
  • Meet regularly with other group members throughout the academic year (at a location agreed upon by group members).

Faculty Writing Groups

Faculty members are invited to participate in writing groups to receive support and feedback from others throughout the year. Faculty members may sign up in pre-formed groups or sign up individually and be placed in a group with others who share similar interests and goals. There will be a kickoff and check-in event in early Fall and early Spring.

The deadline to join a Fall 2019 group has passed, but you can still sign up for Spring or next year.
