Accessible Technology

The accessible technology initiative is addressing the requirements mandated in the recent Department of Justice consent decree. This summer, the Assistive Technology team will move into their new space in Shriver Center. The AccessMU Center will be a resource for students, faculty and staff to learn more about accessibility.

5/1/2017 Weekly Update

Training took place last week for creating and remediating PDFs. Sessions were offered in Oxford and at the Regionals.

4/24/2017 Weekly Update

The accessible technologies group had a busy week. Following RFPs and vendor presentations, negotiations are underway with vendors who will provide the AT Audit and an automated web accessibility tool. The group is also working to refine the new process that will measure the accessibility of products requested for purchase.

The 4th Annual AT Symposium is around the corner (October 12 and 13) and planning has begun.

The group is scheduling interviews for the final member of their team, the AccessMU coordinator.
