University Libraries Dean's Message Our staff and facilities offer countless support and opportunities for undergraduate and graduate research. Miami University Libraries Award for Undergraduate Research Excellence (LAURIE) awards prizes in recognition of student's demonstration of excellence in library research.

College of Arts & Science
The CAS provides numerous research opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students. These interdisciplinary and experiential learning collaborations enable students to work closely with faculty mentors or to develop their own independent research projects. Read a few student spotlights about undergraduates engaged in research or watch a few research videos and hear from students directly about their experience. In addition, the Dean of the College of Arts and Science, sponsors the Howard Hughes Scholars award program and the Dean's Scholars program which is designed to encourage scholarly activity among Miami's best seniors.

The College of Education, Health and Society offers students the opportunity to engaged in faculty-mentored research in any of the 30 majors including: athletic training, nutrition, kinesiology, family studies, health promotion, special education, sports management and leadership as well as teacher education.

The Farmer School of Business includes the department of experiential learning which offers students real world opportunities to apply their learned collaborative skills.

The College of Professional Studies and Applied Sciences (CPSAS) creates a more autonomous and flexible model for Miami's regional campuses. Miami students in this division also participate in a wide variety of experiential learning opportunities in collaboration with research-active faculty.
