Engineering and Computing Scholars

Future innovators and leaders in the field of computing can prepare for their careers here. Students involved in these programs will broaden their perspectives and gain real-world experience. Scholars in this program will:

  • Have the opportunity to conduct research with top faculty on National Academy of Engineering Grand Challenge projects that prepare them for the rigors of graduate school or the professional world. 
  • Enroll in Engineering and Computing Scholars seminars that help to sharpen the skills that employers value.
  • Engage in travel abroad experiences and work with partners on special projects that provide global perspective.
  • Interview with members of the Miami University Center for Assistive Technology (MU CAT). This center is comprised of PhD faculty working to improve the lives of people through investigative research in a wide variety of engineering and computing fields.
  • Participate in a guaranteed interview for the Lockheed Martin Leadership Institute, a prestigious cohort for future engineering and computing leaders
