Ellie Miller, advice for prospective students

Why Miami?

After committing to a small liberal arts college my freshman year, I wanted to transfer to a bigger school. I love the size of Miami. It's small enough that I run into people I know all the time, and big enough that I can get involved in almost anything, and find people with the same interests. When choosing to come to Miami, I loved the adorable college town, the majors offered, and the passion for the school that all students and alumni share.

How did you choose your major?

I decided on my major before coming to Miami. I loved the program that Miami offered which is one of the reasons I chose the school.

 Key Moment at Miami

I studied abroad over this past summer and had the most amazing experience. I spent six weeks at Miami's Luxembourg campus and made memories better than I ever could have imagined.

Advice to Prospective Students

I would tell a prospective student that when making a decision about a school, there will be many unknowns about the future and about the school. You really have to trust your gut, go for it, and don't look back. Things have a way of working themselves out and there is a reason why so many people love Miami.

What are your career goals?

I am hoping to work in the field of Data Analytics or Data Science for a couple years before getting a Masters degree in one of the two subjects.
