Advanced Standing Program

Our Advanced Standing program is for those applicants who have received a BSW within the last five years. This cohort of students starts classes every summer semester and completes 34 credit hours over three semesters. Students graduate in a single calendar year.

Students choose to focus on two main areas of concentration: Families and Children OR Older Adults. This choice effects two courses, one focuses on social work practice and the other on social work policy. Students typically choose to complete their field placement in a field that aligns with this concentration. Students complete a total of 500 hours in their field placement.
