The epidemic of elder abuse cannot be stopped without first establishing prevention measures to protect and empower our older adults. Before we can work on lowering the underreporting of elder abuse, we need to ensure older adults will be heard when they make a report and not be shrugged off as if the abuse is not occurring.

Madison is spotlighted for being adjudged with the " Best Conference-Themed Paper at the Ohio Association of Gerontology and Education Conference" early this year. Currently, Madison is employed with the Council on Aging in Cincinnati.
