ShredFest 2024 Dates

ShredFest 2024 will take place again this year during Finals week in May. Get ready to shred your documents!

Middletown Campus

Monday, May 13 | 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Oxford Campus
Thursday, May 16 | 12 to 4 p.m.
Cook Field, outside Pulley Tower

ShredFest is an annual event co-sponsored by IT Services and the Office of General Counsel. During ShredFest, a mobile shredder from ERTH Systems Shredding allows for the disposal of both office and personal, confidential documents. Any faculty, staff, student, or community member may bring documents to ShredFest.

Please be aware that the University is under a litigation hold. Departments, faculty, and staff should only bring University records to ShredFest that are earlier than 2010. Please contact Aimee Smart (Office of General Counsel) if you have any questions.

At the 2023 events, ShredFest shredded over 11,000 pounds of documents.

Please note: To destroy University documents, you must ensure the documents have reached the end of their retention period and accompany them with a signed Records Disposal Form. See the Office of General Counsel's Records and Retention for Miami's Records Retention Schedule and disposal forms.
