Orientation and Transition Programs serves as a central resource for new Miami students and their family members. We want you to have a successful academic and social transition to college through the orientation process for new students. It starts with orientation, but it doesn't stop there!
All incoming students are required to attend an orientation session, and there are separate programs for incoming first-year students, transfer students, international students, and students changing campuses from the regionals to Oxford. Orientation is just one piece of your transition to Miami University, and it takes time. Miami Bound programs happen the week before classes start. Welcome Weekend and the First 50 Days is a robust series of events and programs welcoming you to Miami as the fall semester begins. And the majority of Miami students are enrolled in a first-year experience course during the fall semester.
