University Libraries hosts International Games Day event

Miami University Libraries will be a host site for the American Library Association's 6th Annual International Games Day event 4-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16.

Participants in the event will be able to play different types of games, including a wide array of video and board games from the University Libraries own collections.  Additionally, those in attendance will be able to compete for prizes.

This event offers  “a way to have the library reach out and pull people in to use some of our collections in ways other than just research or course work,” said Ashley Jones, preservation librarian at Miami University Libraries and the coordinator of the library’s Outreach Cluster.

The Libraries’ International Games Day event will take place in the Center for Digital Scholarship, which is located on the third floor of King Library.  Free pizza, drinks and snacks will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
