Construction updates include information about potential traffic delays

Construction in and around Oxford continues, and motorists should expect some delays.

Irvin Drive. (Work was delayed from last week; to begin Aug. 11.) Curbs and sidewalk will be replaced on the east side, from Elliot Hall to High Street. The drive will remain open to traffic throughout the work, but delays are expected due to construction activities. Please use caution in this area and respect construction workers and cones. Work is scheduled to be complete by Aug. 20. Work is weather dependent.

Western Drive is fully open to vehicular traffic. Use caution with new traffic patterns throughout Western Drive. NO access to Western Drive from the Art Museum driveway, until further notice, as this will revert to an “exit only” drive from Peabody Hall. Additional information may be found on the myMiami website.

Crosswalk at Western Drive and U.S. 27. The crosswalk at Western Drive and U.S. 27 near the Shriver Center parking lot no longer exists. Pedestrians should use the crosswalk at U.S. 27 (Patterson) and Spring Street.
