University Senate action Sept. 22

University Senate heard reports Monday, Sept. 22, from Interim Provost Raymond Gorman, chair of University Senate, and Bryan Marshall, chair, Executive Committee of University Senate.  Professor Marshall reported on the September 19, 2014, meeting of the Board of Trustees.

Senate heard the following special reports:

  • Parking Fees Proposal for FY16 and FY17, Lt. Ben Spilman, Director, Parking and Transportation Services.
  • Re-accreditation Update, Carolyn Haynes, Associate Provost.

Items received on the Senate consent calendar included: the curriculum report dated September 17, 2014; minutes of University Senate committees; the Committee on Faculty Rights and Responsibilities 2013-2014 Annual Report from; and the Master of Arts, Justice Studies, Program Development Plan.

Senate endorsed the proposal for the Bachelor of Science in Commerce Degree in Small Business Management, Business Technology, College of Professional Studies and Applied Sciences.  The next meeting of University Senate is scheduled for 3:35 p.m. Oct. 6, 2014, 111 Harrison Hall.
