Miami University named a 2016 Military Friendly School

Military-friendly-logoMiami University's Oxford, Hamilton and Middletown campuses have each been named a Military Friendly® School for 2016.

Released by Victory Media, this year’s list recognizes the top colleges, universities and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace military students.

The list of about 1,400 Military Friendly® Schools highlights those institutions that exhibit leading practices to support military students.

G.I. Jobs administered the survey that is available free to schools approved for Post-9/11 GI Bill funding. Government agencies and private entities that administer education benefits also were part of the research.

Scoring criteria included ten indicators of success such as support for student veterans on campus, graduation and employment outcomes and military spouse policies.

Victory Media, originator of the Military Friendly® group of education and career resources for veterans and their families, posted the 2016 list to MilitaryFriendly.com. This is the seventh year the group released a list. Miami has been on the list every year.
