Miami celebrates the work of graduate students

Graduate Student Appreciation Week (Oct. 31-Nov. 4) at Miami University celebrates the intense work of graduate students and the dedication of faculty.

The week culminates with the Graduate Research Forum at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at Shriver Center. All faculty, staff and students are invited to attend.

The forum provides an opportunity for Miami graduate students to share their scholarship research, engage in professional development, network with their peers and Miami alumni, and learn from their peers. The participating graduate students will present oral and poster presentations, which will be evaluated by Miami faculty and alumni judges.

At the 2015 Graduate Research Forum more than 140 graduate students shared their research and more than 30 graduate alumni served as judges.

During the week, the Graduate School will host numerous events for graduate students including a coffee hour for all graduate students at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, in 134 King Library. Other events include a trivia night, group fitness fun and more.

Follow during the week on Twitter as President Greg Crawford (@PresGreg) and Jim Oris (@orisjt), dean of the Graduate School, tweet about some of Miami’s outstanding graduate students.
