UPAC Networking Lunch: Robin Parker to discuss Fair Labor Standards Act

Robin Parker, general counsel for Miami University, will discuss and answer questions about the upcoming Fair Labor Standards Act, during a UPAC networking lunch, noon-1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, at Garden Commons dining hall.

The Fair Labor Standards Act established the federal minimum wage, time-keeping requirements for employees, and eligibility for overtime pay for certain employees.

Garden Commons is located behind the Farmer School of Business. Both a la carte and all-you-care-to-eat options are available. Faculty and staff lunch price is $7.

UPAC is Miami’s Unclassified Personnel Advisory Committee. It advises the university administration on matters of interest and concern to unclassified personnel.
