Town-Gown survey to gauge connections, concerns

Campus beauty shot of fall leaves.A city of Oxford and Miami University Town and Gown Initiatives Team (TGIT) is conducting a baseline survey of people in Oxford and at Miami. Organizers hope the data gathered can help the city Miami build an even more productive relationship.

The survey is a widely-used instrument that helps measure campus and community perceptions of each other. It also includes questions related to the impact of student alcohol and drug use on town-gown relations, an issue of great significance in a city in which off-campus students outnumber full-time permanent residents. The survey takes 8-10 minutes to complete.

You can take the survey here:  https://www.collegetownassessment.com/survey/miamioh.

The Oxford-Miami TGIT was invited to participate in The Ohio College Initiative Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Pilot Project in a competitive statewide process. A significant component of this initiative involves surveying Miami students, faculty and staff and Oxford stakeholders (residents, educators, police, businesses, government, the faith community, etc.).

Please also share this survey with others who live or work in our community.
