Miami moves to Everfi for training regarding harassment, discrimination and Title IX for new employees
Starting Oct. 1, new employees will receive an email from Everfi that looks like this.
Effective Oct. 1, Miami University is changing software providers from WeComply to Everfi to administer training on the topics of harassment, discrimination and Title IX. Diversity and bias courses have been added: New employees must take them within their first 30 days of employment.
Supervisors should take an active role in ensuring the timely completion of the training for new employees within their respective departments.
Starting Oct. 1, new hires will receive an email directly from EverFi on their hire date with a link that will direct them to take the training. The email should not be considered as phishing and will look like the email displayed to the left.
At this time, only new employees will be impacted by this change in service providers. As mentioned in a recent Miami Matters article on expanding diversity training at Miami, diversity and bias training courses are being added in response to one of the recommended outcomes from the Diversity and Inclusion Working Group.
This is part of Miami's ongoing commitment to foster a diverse and welcoming environment for all who live, learn, work and participate in activities at the university.
